"Sustainable Consumerism and the Greening of Marin"

Please join us for this exciting event and learn about the true energy costs and life cycles of everyday household items and which items are truly sustainable. We will also get an update on recent activities on the county level and what/who is going green in Marin. We will take a look at common products we use such as coffee, computers, newspapers, cars, clothing, electricity etc. and what's really the "right" choice. Sustainability has to do with human rights, fair wages, protecting our environment, prevention of global warming, product quality, product life cycle, and the true energy cost (from grain of wheat to loaf of bread), etc. (ecology, economy and social justice) so that the world will be a safe place for our children.
