Science, Religion and Caring for the Environment:
A Personal and Global Responsibility
Please join us for a unique panel exploring the ideas between scientists, environmentalists, and religious faiths in discussion of the pathways and responsibilities for achieving global sustainability. In this manner the panel continues local-to-global dialogue and diplomacy by creating a forum for the discussion of diverse ideas and beliefs as a road to global understanding.

Panelists
Dr. Ervin Laszlo: Founder and President of the international Club of Budapest and a prolific author. He is considered the foremost exponent of systems philosophy and general evolution theory. Among many positions and responsibilities world-wide, Dr. Laszlo is also Editor in Chief of the international journal World Futures: The Journal of General Evolution.
Dr. Carl Pope: Executive Director, Sierra Club. The Aspen Institute, after surveying Congress and key federal officials, named the Sierra Club as the most influential environmental organization in Washington, D.C. The Sierra Club has helped keep our drinking water clean and also continued to hold the line in protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
Dr. Brian Swimme: Specialist in mathematical cosmology, author, Cal. Inst. of Integral Studies, Graduate Faculty, San Francisco. In his most recent video series, The Earth's Imagination, Dr. Swimme explores the evolutionary nature of the human mind and what this teaches us about how we can best participate in the shaping of a vibrant Earth community.
Dr. Mary Evelyn Tucker: Professor of Religion, author, Bucknell University, PA. She has been a committee member of the Interfaith Partnership for The Environment at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) since 1986, and a member of the International Earth Charter Drafting Committee from 1997-2000. She is editor for the 10 volume Harvard series on World Religions and Ecology.
